Law 25 — Protection of Personal Information

In accordance with Quebec's Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information (Law 25), LumiRoute is committed to protecting your personal information.

1. Privacy Officer

2. Personal Information Collected

We collect only the personal information necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including: your business address for service availability verification, your email address if you create an account or contact us, and platform usage data (IP addresses, pages visited, timestamps) for service improvement purposes.

3. Purposes of Collection and Use

Your personal information is used exclusively to: verify the availability of fiber optic services at your address, provide you with pricing information and quotes, improve our platform and services, and comply with our legal obligations.

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

LumiRoute does not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following cases: if you choose to proceed with a rate lock, your information will be shared only with the selected provider; if required by law or a competent authority. Our third-party service providers (hosting, analytics) are contractually required to protect your information.

5. Retention of Information

Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Addresses used for searches without account creation are anonymized after 90 days. Active account data is retained for the duration of the account plus 12 months after closure.

6. Your Rights

In accordance with Law 25, you have the following rights: access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, withdrawal of consent, data portability, and the right to request deletion of your information. 7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our platform uses technical cookies essential to the functioning of the service. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies without your explicit consent. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, which may affect certain platform features.

8. Privacy Incidents

In the event of a privacy incident likely to cause serious harm, LumiRoute will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) and the affected individuals in accordance with Law 25 requirements. An incident log is maintained in compliance with applicable regulations.

9. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

LumiRoute uses algorithms to aggregate fiber optic service availability and pricing. These processes do not constitute automated decisions with legal effects on individuals. No profiling for commercial or advertising purposes is performed.
