Privacy Policy

LumiRoute respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Last updated: April 18, 2025

1. Who We Are

LumiRoute is a Canadian fiber optic service comparison and brokerage platform for businesses. Our headquarters are located in Canada. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service: your business address when searching for availability, your email and contact details if you create an account or contact us, technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for platform operation and improvement, and cookie preferences with your consent.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to: verify fiber provider availability at your address, provide you with quotes and pricing information, contact you in connection with your request or account, improve our algorithms and user experience, and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We never sell your data. We share it only: with the selected provider if you proceed with a rate lock (with your explicit consent), with our technical subcontractors (hosting, analytics) bound by confidentiality obligations, and if required by a legal obligation or competent authority.

5. Data Retention

Searches without an account are anonymized after 90 days. Active account data is retained for the duration of the account plus 12 months after closure. Technical logs are kept for 12 months for security purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by writing to [email protected].

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data, correct it, request its deletion, withdraw consent, and request data portability. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. Quebec residents may also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI).

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies essential to platform operation. With your consent, we may use analytics cookies to understand service usage. You can manage your preferences at any time via our Cookie Settings page. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (TLS), restricted data access, system monitoring, and regular review of our security practices. In the event of an incident, we will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable regulations. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email if you have an account.

10. Contact
